Japanese Tanto Knife

This beautiful hand carved knife is approximately two hundred years old and only the very rich business men back then would have been able to own this knife.

The whole knife, from top to bottom, tells a story. On the top (handle), it appears that a Samurai warrior is going off to fight war, leaving his wife and son.

On the body, it tells the tale of the various people in society which he encounters.

 

All the museums around the world (if they woke up) should be banging at my door to obtain this beauty. The knife has been carved from a whole bone, and measures 15".
